What Regulation Ready means

Regulation Ready holds clubs to the highest standards of governance — combining robust compliance checks, clearly defined leadership roles and comprehensive safeguarding and policy oversight. It demonstrates that the club has met or exceeded nationally recognised expectations across safety, transparency and operational integrity, ensuring a trusted environment for students, parents and the wider community.

Robust compliance checks

BMABA verifies that the club meets nationally recognised expectations for safety, insurance and operational integrity — and re-checks them while the award is valid.

Clear safeguarding leadership

The award requires a clearly defined Designated Safeguarding Lead. At Firebird Martial Arts that role is held by Sonia Elisabeth Berglund, who oversees the welfare of every student.

Comprehensive policy oversight

Governance documents, policies and procedures are reviewed as part of the certification, so families can trust how the club is run — not just how it teaches.

Independently verifiable

Anyone can confirm our award for free, at any time, using BMABA's official verification service at bmaba.org.uk/verify.

Checked, not just claimed

The certificate is dated and expires, and BMABA re-issues it only while the club continues to meet the standard. You can check our current status for free at any time at bmaba.org.uk/verify.
